Distinguished guests, esteemed speakers, colleagues, and leaders in laboratory medicine,

On behalf of Prime Healthcare Group and in association with the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI, USA), it is my distinct honor and privilege to welcome you all to the 3rd Edition of the CLSI Conclave 2026.

This year’s theme, “The Evolving Patient Care: From Diagnostic Testing to Precision Medicine,” reflects a pivotal shift in modern healthcare. As diagnostic science advances rapidly, laboratory medicine is no longer confined to reporting numbers—it is actively shaping clinical decisions, driving personalized therapies, and improving patient outcomes.

Today, we bring together over 180 key decision-makers, pathologists, clinical biochemists, and healthcare leaders from across the UAE and the wider Middle East region. Through robust discussions, expert insights, and practical frameworks grounded in CLSI guidelines, our goal is to bridge the gap between rigorous laboratory standards and advanced clinical application.

Our agenda for the day spans critical operational and scientific frontiers:

Pre-Analytical Excellence & Error Prevention: Addressing specimen integrity, patient identification, and handling workflows (CLSI PRE01, PRE02, PRE04).

Advanced Diagnostics & Biomarkers: Evaluating monoclonal proteins (EP17), clinical readiness of brain injury markers (EP29), and blood-based biomarkers in Alzheimer's disease.

Clinical Decision-Making & Risk Management: Transforming data into actionable clinical decisions and managing critical results (GP47).

Digital Transformation, AI & Automation: Unlocking autoverification and next-generation IVD instrument workflows (AUTO10, AUTO16).

Point-of-Care & Analytical Quality: Standardizing POCT programs (POCT 04/07) and navigating immunoassay interference (I/LA30-A, EP07).

Holistic Well-being: Concluding with an interactive workshop on Mindfulness in Laboratory Medicine.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our esteemed international and regional faculty, representative dignitaries from the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), the Chamber of Commerce, CLSI, and our industry partners—especially Abbott—for their unwavering support in making this platform possible.

Thank you for joining us today. We hope this conclave inspires rich dialogue, meaningful collaboration, and actionable insights that elevate laboratory practices across our institutions.
